CWUR 2025 Ranking keeps UFSC among the best Brazilian universities

The Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC) was ranked 13th among universities in Latin America and the Caribbean, and 9th among Brazilian universities. Among federal universities in Brazil, UFSC holds 5th place. These results are from the 2025 edition of the Global 2000 ranking, published by the Center for World University Rankings (CWUR).

According to the ranking, UFSC is among the top 3.4% of universities worldwide. A total of 21,462 institutions were evaluated, and UFSC was placed 727th globally. The full list was released on Monday, 2 June, and is available on the CWUR website: cwur.org/2025.

In addition to ranking universities by region, CWUR also lists institutions with the best employability, in which UFSC ranked 1,314th worldwide. In the Research category, UFSC was placed 693rd.
