Animal Science
The UFSC Animal Science program trains animal scientists to work in the planning and management of animal production systems, emphasizing processes aimed at obtaining high-quality, value-added products, while respecting animal welfare and the environment.
Graduates are expected to act as agents of development and entrepreneurship, generating and disseminating technologies related to the breeding, improvement, management, nutrition, behavior, welfare, and health of different livestock species.
