Veterinary Medicine – Curitibanos Campus
Offered exclusively on the Curitibanos Campus, UFSC Veterinary Medicine program has a 5-year duration, which is divided into 9 semesters of theoretical and practical courses and 1 semester of supervised internship.
The program equips students with essential knowledge to engage in various aspects of veterinary practice, including preventive veterinary medicine, public health, animal production and reproduction, technology and inspection of animal products, veterinary clinics, and the environmentally conscious development of biotechnology.
UFSC Veterinary Medicine graduates are professionals who have a generalist, humanist, critical and reflective profile and are able to understand and translate the needs of individuals, social groups and communities within its area of practice.
Throughout their studies, students have access to several teaching laboratories equipped with up-to-date equipment that enhance their professional training. The program’s faculty is predominantly composed of qualified doctoral degree holders who are recognized nationally or internationally in their respective areas of expertise.
